Fear and anger are the two emotions that hold us back from being who we truly are and who we want to be. Imagine now if you weren’t fearful of anything, if you knew you could make a positive change to your life without the fear of “what it?” – imagine how quickly that change could happen!
What do you get angry at?
Anger can be used in positive ways……….. anger at an injustice that stirs you in to positive action and keeps you driving forwards can be hugely beneficial. However, what about anger that stops you in your tracks, stops you from achieving or even from moving to a better place in your life?
When we get angry at either ourselves or others we debilitate ourselves from finding solutions, anger has absolute power over our minds. It takes up our thought patterns and takes over our levels of concentration, this stops us from finding anything positive.
Are the things you get angry at worthy of all that time and energy wasted?
The good news is that their is a solution and it’s an incredibly easy solution that can take as little as 5 minutes every day. You see there is a positive emotion that, when you concentrate on it and put yourself in that frame of mind, you simply cannot feel the emotions of fear and anger!
Gratitude is the way forward
When you come from a place of being grateful you negate virtually all negative emotions and you certainly cannot feel fearful or angry…. so it’s time to feel grateful!
My suggestion to you, in fact my assertion to you is that you should spend just five minutes (seven would be better) each morning thinking about what you could be grateful for. You could write down a list of everything you could be grateful for or simply close your eyes and think of them……………… it’s only five minutes!
They don’t have to be big things, I often think about being grateful for waking up this morning, the sun on my face or the breeze on my face, my daughters smile or my dogs enthusiasm for going for a walk in the morning.
It’s not all about the big stuff
When you can find gratefulness in the smallest of things you will find it easier to find bigger things to be grateful for so list at least 5 (or 7 would be better) small things that you can be grateful for right now.
Doing this for just five minutes every single morning will reduce and destroy your fears and anger so that you can choose positive emotions and make positive changes to your life.
What could you be grateful for right now?
Until next time………………
